April recognized that there was a real need for a better quality dating service. Seeing the single women in her life having a hard time making meaningful connections and meeting great partners, April began to examine the challenges that singles faced in the modern dating world.
April has a fierce work ethic and had secured an MBA by the time she was 20 years old. She built LUMA Luxury Matchmaking while still working full time at her corporate job, modeling, and professional snowmobile racing.
Drawing on her education, her professional background in Process Improvement, and deep industry research, the plans for LUMA took shape. April decided to focus on serving busy professionals who didn’t have time for online dating and wanted a more direct path toward meeting like-minded singles.
Aiming to go above and beyond the dating services available when she was building LUMA, April shaped her company’s matchmaking process to fit a client-first model and address the service gaps that other agencies didn’t fill:
