I initially connected with LUMA over a year ago but decided not to move forward with their services at the time. However, they retained my profile information from the intake process. Recently, Cecilia from LUMA reached out, thinking I might be a good match for one of their clients. Cecilia was great at guiding me through the process, even as we had to reschedule a few times due to calendar conflicts. The idea of going on a blind date with minimal information about the other person was new to me, but I went in with an open mind. I ended up having a wonderful evening with an amazing match—we talked for four hours and closed down the restaurant. Although we didn’t quite feel the spark to meet again, it was a genuinely enjoyable experience. I’m glad I gave it a try and hopeful for better luck next time.

Sherry has been amazing. She truly cares and is consistent with follow up. She takes the stress out of dating by vetting men based on your personality and preferences. This is the new method of dating. (Quality over quantity)... skips a lot of wasted time, and creates trust around a lot of the anxious feelings that typically come with exploring relationships out on your own.

I met Paul through Luma, and it's hard to put into words how impactful the email I received in January 2025 was, titled "Meet Paul." Gina M., Paul’s matchmaker, reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in a date. She described Paul as "very sweet, understanding, down-to-earth, and very intelligent." It turns out Paul was exactly that! We had a Zoom date, which led to texting and FaceTime calls. Eventually, Paul visited me in Detroit, and I went to see him in May in Denver. In June, Paul met my family. I moved in with Paul in July of this year. Paul flew out to Detroit to help me drive my 80 pound dog back to Denver. A kind lady named April interviewed me by phone. She genuinely wanted to know about me and what I was looking for in a match. This is my second professional match making company I have looked into. I liked that Luma gave me the option to be in their database for no cost. With this option, they won't actively look for a match for me, but at least I'm available for someone who may be looking for a unique quality I may have, that none of their paying customers has. That's good for me for not taking a risk that I'll spend all that money and get a poor result. And , it's good for them to have a larger pool of lovely, beautiful ladies to offer to the paying men. The other company made women pay, or be refused completely. I like how I can go into my profile often and add, or update things I've written. It keeps my bio current. The only thing I thought Luma should offer is that women should be able to pay less. The other company I inquired, charged the ladies less than what the men paid. Having us pay the same high price as the men who are seeking a companion doesn't seem right to me. I'm looking forward to hearing from Luma soon!
