The Love Architects Reviews 2025: Pros, Cons, and More!

As one of the oldest forms of dating, Matchmaking has certainly stood the test of time, and recent studies show that it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Matchmaking is actually growing in popularity, largely because singles across the U.S. are simply tired of navigating dating apps, algorithms, and doom-swiping into oblivion.

As the industry of love continues to thrive, it’s facing growing pains: New Matchmaking companies are popping up overnight, shilling their services for thousands of dollars and promising to have the recipe for real, lasting love. But can they actually deliver?

As established, acclaimed Matchmakers, LUMA is on a mission to help every single person find the love they deserve. Part of that mission is helping to right the wrongs within our industry and review some of the major Matchmakers in the U.S. so that singles can avoid paying for subpar services and can find a thoughtful, dedicated, legit path to true love.

The Love Architects have probably been on your radar if you’re looking for national or midwestern Matchmakers. Their firm is still founder owned and operated and is well established, but can they really help you find a lasting relationship? We’ve gathered all The Love Architects reviews 2025, and we’ll also share the cost, how it works, and our thoughts on whether they’re a scam or legit.

What Is The Love Architects?

Founded in 1997, The Love Architects is a luxury Matchmaking firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota known for their unique, holistic approach to matchmaking. The Love Architects aims to provide relationship coaching, personal branding and tailored Matchmaking to help clients put their best foot forward in the dating scene.

Their main differentiator is their emphasis on personal development and emotional readiness. Before clients are matched with potential candidates, they receive lifestyle and date coaching to prepare them to navigate the dating scene. The Love Architects are also known for their exclusive, members-only retreats at their private space at The Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis.

The Love Architects is still founder led and operated, unlike most major Matchmaking companies. Expanding from their initial search area, the firm now serves clients in most U.S. cities and London in the UK. They are now tied to a few sister companies, such as AH Love Design and The Lodge.

Who Owns The Love Architects?

The Love Architects is still led by their original founder, Kailen Rosenberg, and is partially operated by her son, Andrew Hansen. During the her early career, Kailen worked as a self-image consultant, helping clients achieve more self-esteem and confidence. Kailen’s passion for human connection grew and she used her career skills to start casually matching her friends and family.

She eventually transitioned into Matchmaking and life coaching full-time, and founded The Love Architects in 1997. Kailen has since appeared on various TV shows, like Love Ambassador and Lovetown U.S.A. to showcase her Matchmaking talent and advertise her business. She attempted to launch a few adjacent business like The Lodge dating app, but it’s since been removed from the app store.

It’s unclear when her son, Andrew, entered the Matchmaking space, but he’s been working alongside Kailen for the duration of his career. He originally started as a Matchmaker for The Love Architects and held a C-suite level position, but has now taken a step back from his role within his mother’s company and started his own Matchmaking practice, AH Love Design. He still works with The Love Architects, but on a much smaller scale.

How Does The Love Architects Work?

If you’re interested in joining The Love Architects, you’ll need to complete an application form on their website. Their Matchmaking team will review your background, relationship history, and match preferences information to decide if you’re ready for membership. If their team thinks you could be a good fit, you’ll be asked to complete an in-depth interview.

The Love Design interview and assessment is a lengthy session where you’ll share more about your  personal history, relationship patterns, and life goals. Their team will determine what’s holding you back from love right now and create a blueprint for your journey to find a relationship. Unlike most Matchmaking companies, The Love Architects charge anywhere from $500 to $1,000 for the interview session.

Once you complete The Love Design interview, you’ll be invited to join their client base. If you accept, the first step of membership is relationship and life coaching. You will complete a series of sessions with one of their coaches to ensure you’re absolutely ready to re-enter the dating scene. After your coaching is complete, you’ll start receiving matches. Their first two membership tiers are a pay-for-matches system, however, their VIP-level membership includes unlimited matches.

The Love Architects Reviews 2025

The Love Architects Reviews on Yelp

The Love Architects and AH Love Design have a shared Yelp page which has been claimed. Currently, the page is rated 2.3 out of 5 stars, but only has 3 total reviews.

The one positive review talks about how their experience working with The Love architects founder, Kailen, exceeded their expectations, and how passionate she is about Matchmaking. The two negative reviews say they feel scammed and that potential clients should review their contracts with a lawyer before joining.

The Love Architects Reviews on Google

Again, The Love Architects and AH Love Design share Google business page and thus share reviews. Unfortunately, it’s really unclear which company each client review is about. The companies have an overall average of 4.2 out of 5 stars and have 40 total reviews.

The most positive reviews praise Kailen and Andrew for their dedication, professionalism, and support during the Matchmaking process. The most negative reviews talk about feel scammed, and many reviewers say they never received a single match.

The Love Architects Reviews on Glassdoor

The Love Architect’s Glassdoor profile is under a slightly different name, but the page does link to their website. There’s only one review for The Love Architects on Glassdoor, and the person rates their employment as 1 out of 5 stars.

The reviewer claims that upper management pushed them to switch careers entirely, and that they suggest The Love Architects hire an actual CEO to mitigate further issues.

The Love Architects Reviews on the BBB

The Love Architects do have their own BBB page, but there are no reviews on it so far. However, the BBB page for AH Love Design does have two reviews. We’ll share the BBB reviews for AH Love Design, but keep in mind that although these two Matchmaking companies are affiliated, they are not entirely the same.

The one positive review talk about how encouraged, supported, and heard they felt throughout the Matchmaking process. The one negative review claims to have been solicited for sexual acts by someone from AH Love Design, but the name of the accused person has been redacted by the BBB.

The Love Architects Complaints and Lawsuits

After having written quiet a few blogs in this series, I can factually say that most Matchmaking companies have a few complaints or lawsuits under their belt. Unfortunately for The Love Architects, they aren’t immune to legal battles, either. As of 2025, The Love Architects have one complaint on the BBB and have dealt with two major lawsuits.

The Love Architect’s BBB complaint claims that they did not receive a single match during their year-long membership. The client also says that working with Andrew was so unprofessional that she has to request that Kailen take over her account. Still, Kailen did not find her a match, either, and the client was denied a refund.

Kailen herself responded to the complaint and claimed that the client was fabricating the details of their membership. Interestingly, in the reply, Kailen never actually said that the client received any matches, though. The client did not accept that rebuttal and called again for a refund. The complaint is still unresolved on the BBB.

Aside from their BBB complaint, The Love Architects had a serious legal battle over investment fraud in 2016 with a previous client, Hammond Meredith. According to Meredith’s civil complaint, he paid Kailen over $400,000 for the duration of his membership, but instead of receiving matches, he was essentially coerced into investing in a startup Kailen was trying to launch.

Meredith claimed that Kailen told him he would only receive potential matches if he considered investing in her new dating and social club called “The Lodge”. In the complaint, Meredith requested a refund for the entire amount he paid for his Matchmaking membership and for his investment into The Lodge. The civil complaint was eventually dismissed, and Meredith has yet to take further legal action.

However, this isn’t the only trouble that The Lodge caused. In 2022, another previous client of The Love Architects filed a suit against Kailen for soliciting funds for her dating app idea. The client, Courtelis, paid $250,000 to join their Matchmaking services expecting to find love, but instead walked into a scam.

Courtelis alleges that The Love Architect’s Matchmaking services were a front to lure in wealthy clients who would invest in her app, The Lodge. Kailen did convince Courtelis to invest in the dating app, claiming that she’d already invested millions of her own money and that Match.com and Mark Cuban were looking to purchase the app.

Courtelis claims that Kailen fabricated the entire story, and that she never planned on developing the app. Kailen motioned to dismiss the claim, but was swiftly denied. The case was sent to the Federal District Court for the District of Minnesota, and is still in procession today.

The Love Architects Success Rate

Unfortunately, The Love Architects haven’t listed any data around their success rate, which is fair cause for concern. Success rates are undeniably important in the Matchmaking industry, as they serve not only to build trust with potential clients, but to establish a reputation and acclaim in the field.

This isn’t uncommon; actually, tons of luxury Matchmakers don’t disclose their success data and instead use client testimonials and reviews to show the value of their service. However, having been a Matchmaker for over two decades, I can say that proven success data is infinitely more valuable than client reviews alone. Reviews are often skewed, and usually only show the positive or negative side of a business.

Having, real, proven metrics around how many clients enter relationships or marriages from the Matchmaking service says a lot more about the quality of services provided. As The Love Architects gives no data, we can assume they haven’t bothered to collect any. Again, not uncommon, but it doesn’t exactly signal that The Love Architects deliver a quality Matchmaking experience.

Is The Love Architects Legit or a Scam?

Based on their client reviews, complaint, lawsuits, Matchmaking process, and overall industry reputation, we can say that The Love Architects are a legitimate Matchmaking company. Although their founder, Kailen, and her son, Andrew, have been steeped in controversial legal issues and they do not provide success metrics, it’s evident that many of their clients have seen success from their services.

That said, it’s also a bit concerning that tons of other previous clients claim to have not received any matches at all, and that they don’t have many third-party reviews. We can confidently say that The Love Architects aren’t a scam, however, it’s up to you to decide whether they are the right Matchmaking service for you!

The Love Architects Cost

Like most major Matchmakers, The Love Architects have many tiered membership options that ranges in price and the scope of the match search. The Love Architects also prices their membership options according to which Matchmaker you’d like to work with.

After completing an assessment, you’ll have the option to work with Kailen, Andrew, or another one of their Matchmakers. To hire Kailen as your dedicated Matchmaker, the price ranges from $5,000 to over $100,000 depending on if you’re like a local, national, or international search. Hiring Andrew is quite a bit cheaper; prices range from $5,000 to $50,000 and include between 3 and 7 matches.

Is The Love Architects Worth It?

The Love Architects might be a good option for you if you’re equally interested in date coaching and Matchmaking, working with a large budget, and looking for a service that’s still founder owned and operated. However, if you’re a stickler for hard data on actual client results or if you live in a more rural area of the U.S., The Love Architects might not be your best fit.

Really, we can’t say whether The Love Architects are a good option for you. That entirely depends on what you’re looking for from a dating service and your budget. As always, we suggest shopping around and comparing various services before joining any specific Matchmaker.
