People are always trying to decode the opposite sex when dating. We’re trying to figure out what they’re thinking and trying to determine if someone is into us or not. We have put together a list of 5 signs someone likes you.
1. They make sure you see them at their best
Say she’s going out with her girlfriends for a night on the town or he’s going to a wedding and in a suit. If they send you a pic, this is a good sign they want to make sure you see them looking their best and they’re thinking of you. This photo may come in the form of a text or a social media account and it may be a selfie, but it is also likely to be a photo of them with family or friends so that you can see that they’re having fun with other people.
2. Sex is procrastinated
Now some people may think this is the lady’s decision, but I work with both men and women and I hear from the guys quite often that the ladies out there are wanting to jump in the sack too quickly. The guys are looking for a relationship and it’s the women wanting to just hook up. So if someone, man or woman, is wanting to wait on getting naked, this is a good sign that they’re really into you and not just your body.
3. They’re impressed by you
When you were a kid you may have tried to excel in sports or in the classroom when performing in front of your crush. Your goal was to try to do well and impress them and people often think the same is true in later years, but it’s not. See trying to impress others once we’ve hit maturity is just a sign of insecurity and/or narcissism. Narcissists are doing things to reinforce their belief that they are all that. They are really trying to impress themselves and get others to love them as much as they love themselves. This is why they’re so great and charming on first dates. On the other hand, someone who is really into you, will say so or pay you a compliment and let you know that you’ve impressed them.
4. They make time
We’re all busy. In this day and age, everyone has a lot going on with demanding schedules and technology making us available 24/7. However, we make time for what’s important. If your love interest calls you or sends you a text just to say hi and let you know they’re thinking of you, this is a good sign. Also, they may rearrange their schedule or offer you multiple date options and times in order to accommodate your schedule. This tells you that you’re a priority.
5. They share their world
Who do you call when something good or bad happens to you? That’s a question we ask our clients because it’s insightful to see who they’re most close to. Now if you become the person your love interest is calling at the end of the day to chat with, that’s a good sign that you’re moving up the scale in order of important people in their life. They are thinking of you and want to share things with you about themselves. They’re not just calling to tell you to come over for a late-night romp. They’re interested in hearing how your day went and what’s going on in your life.
