They are headquartered in Houston, but serve NYC, Dallas, Phoenix, and Portland as well.

Sameera Sullivan Matchmaking is named after their founder, who still serves as the head Matchmaker and CEO of the firm. Sameera’s journey into Matchmaking came from her career in national executive recruiting in the defense/aerospace industry. Another recruiter reached out to her and asked if she’d be interested in becoming a Matchmaker.
She accepted the position and fell in love with her role as a Matchmaker. Eventually, she decided to set out on her own in 2012 with a small group of clients. Originally named Lasting Connections, her firm has since rebranded to Sameera Sullivan Matchmaking. Her husband, Tim Sullivan, is also involved with the the firm, but most notably works in the film industry. Interestingly, Sameera and her husband both appeared in the D-list horror anthology film “Chillers 2”.
How Does Sameera Sullivan Work?
Sameera Sullivan is a male-centric Matchmaking service, meaning that women have less options for Matchmaking packages. From our research, there is only one membership package for women who would like a personal match search done on their behalf. However, men have many more options for a custom match search and pay a significantly steeper investment.
If you’re a lady looking into Sameera Sullivan, your first step is to fill out an online profile on their website. From there, Sameera or someone from her team will be in touch to determine if you’re a better candidate for her free or priority database. With their free database, you’ll be passively matched with their paying male clients. Their priority database costs a one-time fee of $500+, but you’ll be considered as a match for their male clients before their free database members and be invited to member-only mixers.
As a woman, you have two other, more expensive options to work with Sameera Sullivan: their Virtual Matchmaking Consulting Silver or Gold-level packages. With their Silver package, you’ll be a priority database member, have a personality assessment, be invited to date coaching sessions, professional photoshoots, and receive post-date feedback. The Gold package includes all of the above, plus image consulting and the option to recruit potential matches.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find much information about the intake process for men, so it’s unclear how many interviews you’ll need to attend or if they are conducted in-person. It’s unclear what perks are included outside of 24-7 access to your assigned Matchmaker and unlimited date coaching sessions.
Sameera Sullivan also offers men 6 months of “freeze time”, or time that you can pause your membership to build a relationship with one of your matches. Interestingly, Sameera does show photos of her clients and matches, unlike most other confidential Matchmakers. Still, Sameera claims her services are “100% discreet”, and you have final approval on whether they show your pictures to potential matches.

After having written quite a few reviews about other Matchmakers, we’ve realized that many firms don’t have many reviews on third-party sites. Sameera Sullivan is one such firm, having only Google and a handful of TrustAnalytica reviews. They have no reviews on the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Reddit, or Trustpilot.
Although it seems commonplace in our industry to not have verifiable client reviews and testimonials, we advise anyone looking into a Matchmaker who doesn’t have many reviews to proceed with caution. Trusted third-party reviews can’t be manipulated, which is why they are so important to building trust and transparency with prospective clients.

Luckily, Sameera Sullivan does have a handful of reviews on TrustAnalytica. That said, they haven’t claimed the business page, and the page only has reviews for their NYC office. Currently, they boast a 4.8 rating with 17 total reviews.
The most positive reviews talk about how compassionate Sameera and her Matchmaking team are, and that her services are infinitely better than dating apps. In 2021, Lasting Connections LLC finally settled a lengthy legal battle with two of their investors over misleading investment contract details and transacting business without authority. In 2015, Sameera contacted two wealthy residents of Washington state, asking them to invest in her newly-developed Matchmaking app associated with Lasting Connections. Both of of the people Sameera contacted invested $25,000 into her Matchmaking app, but failed to see any returns on their investment.
Not only did the app fail to produce any returns, but the contract both investors signed was exceedingly misleading in terms of guarantees, disclosures, and risks. Eventually, one of the investors requested repayment, but Sameera denied the request for full repayment and asked for a payment plan. The investor agreed, but never saw a single repayment after months of empty promises.
Both Washington investors filed a joint lawsuit against Lasting Connections LLC. Interestingly, during the discovery process of the lawsuit, the Washington Dept. of Financial Institutions found that Sameera was not authorized to collect investments in their state. Thus, the outcome of the lawsuit required Sameera to pay a fine for soliciting business in the state of Washington and for failure of repayment on investment.
Based on the legal document we reviewed, it seems Sameera is banned from further business in Washington state. It would also seem that this legal battle is what spurred her to dissolve Lasting Connections LLC and rebrand her firm into Sameera Sullivan Matchmaking.
Is Sameera Sullivan Legit or a Scam?
Based on our research of their reviews, cost, Matchmaking model, lawsuit, and overall brand reputation, Sameera Sullivan is a legit Matchmaking service. Their one lawsuit is reasonable cause for concern, however, the suit doesn’t actually reflect anything negative about their Matchmaking services. But perhaps it’s best to take caution before investing or going into business with them. Despite their legal battle, they are still well-respected in the industry.
Although they only have a few client reviews on third-party sites, Sameera Sullivan does have a few internal reviews from past clients available on her website. Overall, the firm has generally good reviews and most clients seem happy with their services.

Men certainly pay a steeper price for membership, but they receive much more personalization and support than women. There’s not a lot of information about their membership tiers for men, but we did find that men pay anywhere from $35,000 to $500,000, depending on the length of membership, scope of search, and level of support they’d like to receive.
Sameera Sullivan Success Rate
Matchmaking firms each seem to take their own approach to success metrics; some provide no data at all, while others make nearly unbelievable claims about how many clients they’ve successfully matched. Sameera Sullivan makes a very bold claim on her website, stating that she personally has a 100% success rate matching her male clients.
However, the excerpt does not define what “success” means. It could be that if a male client says they had a good date with one of the matches, Sameera counts that as success. Or, maybe they define success as a client marrying one of their matches. The vagueness in their statements about client success does cause reasonable doubt.
In many ways, it’s better to not have a success rate than to make grand, yet abstract claims that have no definition or proof to back them up. That is not to say that Sameera doesn’t have a 100% success rate, she certainly may, but it’s unclear how she defines success. We’d also like to point out that this success rate is only mentioned for Sameera, and not for her Matchmaking team as a whole.

In general, we advise any women looking into professional Matchmaking to join a Matchmaker who accepts women as paying, equal members. You will never receive the same level of personalization, support, and guidance being a database member as you will an actual client, so if you’re ready to invest in dating services, you might fare better hiring a Matchmaker who serves both men and women.
